This is the last work made by the students in Year 5 and Year 6. They have done their own pop art paintings.They were inspired by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Romero Britto.

January Year 6

This month, the students in Year 6 have been working Geometrical Drawing. Here you can see some of their works. January was also the last month Priya was with us. We were very happy with her classes. We have learned a lot about India and fortunately she will visit us soon. Good luck in A Capela.

ARTS AND CRAFTS DECEMBER

 Bilingual Sections December 2021

This month, Year 5 and Year 6 have done a special poster related to Christmas. Mar and Ana have shown our students how to make flowers to decorate a tree.

All the flowers have been sticked in the tree. Here you can see our Christmas Card on the wall.

On the other hand, we have already started the School Digital Project related to art and this month we have been working with music. Children have seen a classic British cartoon entitled “The Snowman” where the message is conveyed through music. We have also listened to the song “The snowman and me” by Sia.

Our final work was a sculpture of a snowman made of paper glasses.

ARTS AND CRAFTS NOVEMBER 2021

 Rangolis and Beads

This month the Arts and Crafts teachers, Mar and Ana have been doing activities related to India, Priya's  country. Our language assistant has made a presenta tion about one of their most popular celebrations, Diwali. This Hindu festival is hold in October or November and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. Diwali lasts for 5 days. People decorate their houses with rangoli (elaborated designs made of rice, sand or petals) and light Diyas (small lamps filled with oil). We have made rangoli and Diyas.

We have also worked this month with a special material: beads. Children have made their own pins with the form of a corncob. India is the sixth largest producer of corn in the world.

Arts and Crafts October 2021

In October we celebrate Halloween and the Arts and Crafts teachers Mar and Ana have prepared spooky activities. Here you can see the Year 5 and Year 6 fabulous work: Haunted Houses and Skulls.

This month we have received Priya, our language assistant from October to January. She is from New Delhi, India and she is helping with the bilingual and English classes.

PDI PONTEDEUME

 On Arts we also have participated on our schollyear’s PDI on this year about Pontedeume. On fifth grade we did a very speciall camera with photos about our village and on sixth grade we had made a monographic job with artistic drawings about speciall places in Pontedeume.

Na materia de plástica e nas seccións bilingües fixemos tamén traballos do PDI do colexio sobre Pontedeume. Deste xeito, quinto fico unha cámara moi especial con fotos da nosa vila e sexto un traballo monográfico con debuxos artísticos sobre lugares moi especiais de Pontedeume.

INTERNATIONAL BOOK’S DAY

This week we celebrare The International Book’s Day. Pupil’s from bilingual sections made some amazing bookmarks.Have a look! Some are Harry Potter’s and some are different.

 

EGYPT 2021 FIFTH

This term and continuing with the Timeline project on fifth grade we have learnt about Egypt and we did some magnificient papyrus with some funny hieroglyphs on them.Don't you think so?

EASTER 2021 SIXTH

This week we’ll have our Easter break and on the Arts and Crafts classes we worked about it by making these funny baskets with some nice eggs... Happy Easter for everyone!

 This week we worked Peace Day in our sixth grade’s  classes. We did some paper pigeons and here you can see the results.

CHRISTMAS 2020

 This year we did some mixed-up activities for Christmas. On fifth grade we made christmas cards ornaments and artistic drawing and on sixth grade our pupils did some snowflakes and fantastic gingerbread houses.Watch the videos!
